Removing Non-functioning TV Satellite Dishes
Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 6:18 AM The BVCA Rules & Regulations state: Once a homeowner stops using their installed satellite dish (i.e., ceases to pay the provider) the dish is to be removed at homeowner expense (R&R 17.6.5).
We all wish to maintain the appearance of BV as a high-end residential community. Since BV homeowners now have Verizon FiOS available to them, many will be converting in the coming months to this fiber optic alternative. By doing so, many existing rooftop mounted satellite dishes will become non-functioning.
Spectrum Construction Services will, at homeowner expense, remove the satellite dish and wire, fill the holes, and paint the fascia where the bracket was mounted to avoid dry rot. The homeowner paid cost would be $125. BV homeowners can call Spectrum at 949-598-0652 or email: to request removal, and pay the service call charge directly to Spectrum.
